Darrell has played a pivotal role in FutureOn’s journey from startup to scale-up since investing in the company in 2016. He has led a variety of commercial, market development, and strategic initiatives that have fueled its growth and global presence. Darrell began his career as a microelectronics engineer at Texas Instruments, where he was responsible for their digital and graphic signal processing chip lines. He later relocated to Norway to join a startup developing hardware and graphics systems for the engineering and construction industry, where he successfully built a global distribution network based in Atlanta. Following the sale of that venture, he founded a new business in 1999 focused on the emerging wireless communications sector—an effort that culminated in an acquisition by BlackBerry in 2002. He went on to serve as President of a data center services company, which was acquired in 2010. Since then, Darrell has provided strategic consulting across diverse industries—including telecom, manufacturing, construction, and retail—helping organizations accelerate their digital transformation initiatives.
