In his role as Chief Executive Officer for Hazid Technologies Ltd, Joe McDonald brings over 20 years’ experience in delivering Process Safety Automation, Digital Engineering Knowledge Applications, Deep Learning and ML\AI to the Chemical and Energy sectors, both EPC and Owner/Operators.
A process engineer by background, Joe leads Hazid Technologies in their vision to bring practical knowledge systems for process engineering to fruition. Guiding the teams of software, systems, knowledge and multi-disciplinary engineers in both the development, execution and enrichment of the Integrity Knowledge Platform and associated services. As an engineer first, and a technologist second Joe brings a different view to the digital transformation challenges enabling our customers to quickly take advantage of any of their operational or projects engineering data for efficiency and quality gains whilst receiving complete, consistent and actionable insights. Delivering millions of pounds in cost savings last year for digital transformation projects.
With a proven track record in bringing digital engineering start-ups to profitability and a passionate advocate in open, interoperable engineering knowledge for digital projects, Joe spends his time, when not in the office, mentoring younger engineers and using his ‘WMP’ to promote the advancement of women in STEM.
