Mahmoud Elhusseiny is a Senior Drilling Engineer and Performance Leader with 10+ years of experience delivering complex drilling and well construction projects across onshore, offshore, HPHT, deepwater, and unconventional environments. Throughout his career, he has progressed from rig-floor operations to leading drilling performance initiatives across multi-rig operations, combining technical expertise with business-focused decision-making to improve safety, efficiency, and value creation.
His experience spans ADNOC, Chevron, BP, ENI, Wintershall DEA, Dana Gas, Edison, and other leading operators. His work has contributed to record-setting drilling performance, significant cost reductions, and the deployment of innovative technologies that improve well delivery outcomes.
Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Mahmoud contributes to the industry through leadership roles with the Society of Petroleum Engineers, including serving as Regional Chair for the Drilling Systems Advancement Technical Section (DSATS) in the Middle East and as a member of the SPE Drilling Technical Director Advisory Committee. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA), with a particular interest in the intersection of technology, operational excellence, strategy, and organizational performance.
