Michiel is a seasoned executive with over 15 years of experience spanning the energy and technology industries. He just celebrated his 1st year with WhiteSpace Solutions as Chief Commercial Officer.
Prior to joining WhiteSpace, Michiel was Vice President at software scale-up Akselos. His relentless focus on generating value for customers, and the ability to turn novel technology into a compelling proposition for clients, was a key factor in the company’s success. Before Akselos, Michiel had a 12-year techno-commercial career at Shell where he was the founder of Shell Ventures’ business development team. In that capacity he helped grow dozens of early stage companies by helping them focus on how to create value for their customers. He has served on multiple boards.
In his spare time he is a fanatic in sports and loves to be outdoors.
