Dr. Mostafa Mobasher is an Assistant Professor of Civil and Urban Engineering at NYU Abu Dhabi. He also holds affiliated positions with the Civil and Urban Engineering and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering departments at the New York University Tandon School of Engineering.
His research focuses on the convergence of mechanics, artificial intelligence, and digital twin technologies. At NYU Abu Dhabi, he leads research activities within the Center for Sand Hazards and Opportunities in Resilience, Energy, and Sustainability (SHORES), supporting the advancement of smart infrastructure and energy-geomechanics systems.
Dr. Mobasher’s work combines computational modelling, machine learning, and real-world asset data to develop predictive and autonomous digital twin frameworks for complex industrial and infrastructure applications.
