Riad Efendi graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Biophysics. Following military training with the Ballistic Missile Strategic Force and a faculty tenure at the University of Texas Medical School, he joined TechnipFMC in 2012. At the company, he is credited with creating, rolling out, and certifying the HSE Management System, as well as implementing the QHSE Digital Solution.
For his accomplishments, Riad has received several professional awards and recognitions, including the American Society of Safety Professionals Safety Management Innovation Award, Technip’s top annual Franquelin Award, and the Offshore Technology Conference Emerging Leader recognition for his contributions to the offshore energy sector, innovation, and focus on safety. Riad is also a sought-after speaker at national and international professional meetings on AI, digitalisation, sustainability, safety, and corporate culture.
